Online Therapy in Ontario

Therapy that meets you where you are

Therapy that meets you where you are

Online therapy gives you the same warm, professional support as in-person sessions — from wherever you feel most comfortable in Ontario. Whether you're at home, on a lunch break, or somewhere private and quiet, you can connect with a Registered Psychotherapist by secure video.

At Collaborative Therapy, we're based in Mississauga and offer online psychotherapy to clients across Ontario — including people who live far from a clinic, have busy or unpredictable schedules, or simply prefer the ease and privacy of meeting from home.

How Online Therapy Works

It's simple, and you don't need to be tech-savvy:

  • Book a free 15-minute consultation to find the right therapist for you.

  • Get a secure video link — sessions run through our practice platform (Jane), which is private and encrypted.

  • Join from any device — laptop, tablet, or phone, in a quiet space where you won't be interrupted.

  • Meet regularly, at times that fit your life, including evenings and weekends.

What We Support Online

Online sessions work well for a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, worry, and overwhelm

  • Depression and low mood

  • Stress and burnout

  • Trauma and complex childhood trauma

  • Relationship and family challenges

  • Grief and loss

  • Self-esteem and life transitions

We also offer sessions in Polish, English, Hindi, and Gujarati, so you can do this work in the language that feels most natural.

Is Online Therapy as Effective as In-Person?

For most concerns, yes. Research consistently finds online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy — and many people find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own space. What matters most is the relationship with your therapist and the fit of the approach, both of which translate well to video.

If something comes up where in-person would serve you better, we'll talk about it together — and you're always welcome to meet us in person at our Mississauga office near Square One.

Your Privacy

Your confidentiality matters. Sessions are held over a secure, encrypted video platform designed for healthcare, and your information is handled in line with Ontario privacy standards (PHIPA). For your part, all you need is a private, quiet spot and a stable internet connection.

Is Online Therapy Right for You?

Online therapy may be a great fit if you:

  • Live anywhere in Ontario and want access to the right therapist, not just the closest one

  • Have a full schedule and need flexible, evening, or weekend times

  • Prefer the comfort and privacy of meeting from home

  • Have limited transportation, mobility, or time to travel

Not sure? A free 15-minute consultation is a no-pressure way to see how it feels.
